Case Study
The article presents a case study of a 33 year old man who has rheumatoid arthritis and a right total hip arthroplasty with cementless Profemur Z hip stem. It states that the patient received ceramic-on-ceramic modular implant due to his age and modular stem for the hip abductor and biochemical function. It adds that the fracture surfaces of the patient was examined with a scanning electron microscopy which revealed no clamshell markings that can indicate crack front and fatigue loading.
