ABSTRACT
The article presents the case study of a middle-aged woman with diabetic nephropathy, who was taken to the emergency room after three days of fever, left flank pain and oliguria. A radiograph and computed tomography (CT) scan was performed on her and she was diagnosed with emphysematous pyelitis. The article discusses emphysematous pyelonephritis, which occurs in middle-aged women with uncontrolled diabetes and urinary tract obstruction.
