ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study of a 68-year-old woman with a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bipolar disorder with a 1-month history of delirium. The patient, with a long-standing history of bipolar disorder and anxiety, undertook a physical examination wherein results showed an elderly woman in no acute distress. It discusses the pathological aspects of giant cell arteritis, which is a chronic vasculities of medium and large vessels.
