ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study on a gob gas utilization project which was financially supported by carbon offset credits in the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S. It mentions the usefulness of the surface-mounted gob vent borehole (GVB) extraction pumps in extracting the gob gas. It cites the phases of the project including the incineration of gas to the surface which will benefit the carbon offset credits as well as gas processing.
