ABSTRACT
The article describes the case of a male child who developed Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) after treatment with radiotherapy and methylprednisolone. He was diagnosed with haemangioma and Kasabach-Meritt syndrome and was given initial treatment of prednisolone, platelet transfusions and nafamostat. He started treatment with methylprednisolone pulse therapy, sclerotherapy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy regimens because of advanced bleeding, and his condition improved. He was rehospitalized after 4 months and subsequently died.
