Case Study
The article presents a case study of an at-risk 8-year-old girl who contracted bacterial endocarditis following dental treatment. The patient was referred to the clinic for toothache and contracted the haemophilus aphrophilus endocarditis following treatment and proper prophylaxis. She was diagnosed with Noonan's syndrome, pulmonary stenosis and posterior encephalocoele. The patient was born to a mother with Noonan's syndrome. Dental treatment is suspected as the possible cause of endocarditis.
