ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study of a metal-on-metal total hip arthroplasty using cobalt-chromium alloys. The study examines the immunological responses of two patients who experienced histological changes in the periprosthetic tissues after total hip replacement surgeries. Subjects under discussion include joint effusion, osteolysis, and infections.
