ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study which examines the strategy adopted by Contractors Steel Co. in Detroit, Michigan to overcome the difficult economic conditions. It is noted by Donald R. Simon, founder of the steel service center, that the company has conducted business expansion during downturns. Information on the expansion efforts and plans of the company is also provided.
