ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study discussing strategies of the Dennen Steel Corp. that enables it to thrive in a dynamic steel industry. Key to Dennen's strategies was modifying its position as a traditional service center with a bold foray into contract manufacturing specifically stamping. Andrew Dennen, the company's president and CEO, says that their response to the market's changing conditions came out of extensive discussions with the company's advisory board.
