ABSTRACT
In 'The Eagle's Shadow: Why America Fascinates and Infuriates the World,' author Mark Hertsgaard makes a comparison between the United States and fictional character Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hertsgaard traveled the globe and found that foreigners largely agree with him about the United States: interesting culture, nice democracy, but too many 'red' (Republican) states.
