ABSTRACT
Gece was published in 1985, and drew attention with its peculiar style of its own. It is a novel like the night as its name implies. The night has uncertainty in it, because darkness doesn't completely lighten things. There is always an element that isn't lightened and stays in the darkness. Consequently, darkness is an element that prevents clearness. The absence of clearness brings two seen or supposed to be seen elements face to face. To be or to suppose leads to not being able to be certain, and this leads to uncertainty. What arises at this point is chaos. Therefore, Gece is a novel like the night. It has all the elements which belongs to the night. This article gives information about this interesting novel by Bilge Karasu.
