ABSTRACT
Michael Faraday was a great 19th century English scientist. He was a chemist who discovered the importance of benzene in 1825. In 1831 he showed that a magnet close to an electric wire induces an electric current in the wire. Faraday made the first dynamo to generate electricity. He suggested the idea of lines of magnetic force and electromagnetic fields in the 1840s.
