ABSTRACT
Astronomy is the study of the night sky, including the planets, moons, stars and galaxies. The ancient Egyptians used their knowledge of astronomy to create their calendar and to align the pyramids. Astronomers have special equipment to study all the different forms of radiation that space objects give off. Astronomers can spot new objects in the night sky by laying a current photograph over an old one and looking for differences.
