ABSTRACT
Chapter 12 of the book "Finding a Job After 50: Reinvent Yourself for the 21st Century" is presented. It discusses how a boomer can go through successfully a probationary or evaluation period at work. Cases are presented including Catherine's story to show what can happen if old habits are still practiced in a new job and Tom's story wherein he tried to find the job that was right for him. Questions for self-assessment during the probationary period are provided including about enjoying work, being friends with colleagues and avoiding computers.
