Chapter 3 of the book "Darkness and Light: Lectures on Baudelaire Flaubert, Nerval, Huysmans, Racine, and Time and its Images in Literature" is presented. It discusses author Gérard Labrunie, also known as Gérard de Nerval, and his writing "Aurélia," or "Dream and Life." De Nerval, who is considered as among the most famous figures in French romanticism, cited the dream gates of ivory and of horn in his book.
