ABSTRACT
A chapter of the book "Dinosaur Atlas: An Amazing Journey Through a Lost World" that offers information on dinosaur fossils found in Liaoning, China is presented. It notes small meat-eating dinosaurs and primitive birds lived together in this area. According to the author, study of dinosaurs was revolutionized by fossils from the Early Cretaceous rocks of Liaoning Province. The discovery of Sinosauropteryx fossil, which had a feather-like coat, in 1996 strengthened the claims that dinosaurs and birds are related.
