ABSTRACT
A chapter of the book "Dinosaur Atlas: An Amazing Journey Through a Lost World" which features the first dinosaurs in Europe is presented. It notes that the first dinosaurs to wander in Europe appeared in the Late Triassic era, at which time, Europe was at the northern edge of the supercontinent Pangaea. According to the author, the best known Late Triassic dinosaur of Europe could be the Plateosaurus which came from sites in Germany, France and Switzerland. Thecodontosaurus, a type of plant-eating prosauropods, was discovered in England.
