ABSTRACT
A chapter of the book "Dinosaur Atlas: An Amazing Journey Through a Lost World" that features the Petrified Forest National Park in Northeastern Arizona is presented. This park, which was established in 1962, is a remarkable site from the Late Triassic period where fossils of the world's first dinosaurs like Chindesaurus were found. Most of the fossilized trees that can be found in this national park belong to the Araucariaceae family.
