ABSTRACT
Information on the diverticularization of the duodenum and pancreatic drainage for duodenal and pancreatic trauma from a chapter of the book "Atlas of Gastrointestinal Surgery," Volume One, Second Edition, is presented. The challenges posed by the management of combined pancreatic and duodenal trauma to surgeons are described. The surgical procedures involved in the contusion of duodenum with perforations and a stellate injury to the pancreas are also outlined.
