ABSTRACT
Information on the surgical management of pancreatic pseudocyst from a chapter of the book "Atlas of Gastrointestinal Surgery," Volume One, Second Edition, is presented. The procedures for the drainage of pseudocyst into the duodenum, which is the only option when the pseudocyst is located in the head of the pancreas, are described. The disadvantages of performing a duodenotomy to drain a pseudocyst are also cited.
