Information on resection of simple cysts located in the liver taken from a chapter of the book "Atlas of Gastrointestinal Surgery," Volume 1, Second Edition, is presented. It is noted that the procedure can either be open abdomen or laparoscopic, but the latter is preferred in most cases. Also discussed are procedures of the surgery.
