Information on the dangers faced by tigers as well as preservation efforts from a chapter of the book "Tigers and Big Cats" is presented. China is cited as one big market for tiger parts as Chinese medicine uses most parts of the tiger to treat different illnesses. Several organizations involved in tiger preservation as also cited, including Care for the Wild International.
