ABSTRACT
A chapter from the book "Oceans" is presented. It talks about how warm waters of the tropics though lacking in nourishment for sea creatures sustain the life of tropical coral reefs. It states that this abundance is due to the cooperation of the corals and small plant-like living things that produces food by utilizing solar energy. The living corals then build up into huge formation of reefs and is a habitat for many kinds of sea animals.
