ABSTRACT
Chapter 17 of the book "Scheisshaus Luck: Surviving the Unspeakable in Auschwitz & Dora," by Pierre Berg is presented. The author shares that he found his friend Hubert on the opposite side of the car while they were heading to the town of Gleiwitz in Auschwitz. Hubert was sitting in the filth and dampness, and his trouser legs were soaked with blood from being stepped on, and his eyes were glassy and dull from his burning fever. The author says that Hubert was delirious and calling out his name over and over again.
