Chapter 2 of the book "Australian Encyclopedia--Federation of Australia" is presented. It discusses the inauguration of the first Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901. The inauguration ceremony was headed by King George V, the Duke of Cornwall and York. Edmund Barton was elected as Australia's first Prime Minister.
