ABSTRACT
A biography of American writer and educator Thornton Niven Wilder is presented. He has won Pulitzer Prizes for his novels "The Bridge of San Luis Rey," "Our Town," and "The Skin of Our Teeth." He speaks German, French, Italian and Spanish and has lived in countries such as Italy, Mexico and China. He has taught at educational institutions like Harvard University and the University of Chicago. He describes aspects of his everyday life at home in New Haven, Connecticut, such as going to the library and walking about town.
