A biography of Artur Rasizade, prime minister of Azerbaijan, is presented. Rasizade was born in Ganja, Azerbaijan in 1935 and worked in the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil Engineering. Following Azerbaijan's autonomy from the Soviet Union and genocidal attacks by Armenian forces, Rasizade became prime minister. He resigned from his position briefly while Ilham Aliyev was elected president but was subsequently reappointed by Aliyev.
