ABSTRACT
The article provides an analysis of plays written by U.S. dramatist Anne Nichols. This analysis was made based on many factors including the impact of the plays at the time of production and the influence of Nichols as a perceived role model in terms of innovative subject matter and techniques. The critical and popular response to the plays is also explored. Additionally, this article discusses the present-day attitudes about the work of Nichols.
