ABSTRACT
Burlington, Vermont has planned for a 24.8 million dollar negotiated sale of new-money airport revenue bonds to finance several construction projects, including a much-needed parking garage expansion at Burlington International Airport. The small regional airport, located in the state's largest city, embarked on a capital program to double parking garage and terminal seating capacity, build an elevated walkway linking the parking garage and the terminal, and upgrade roadways after city voters approved the bond sale in a referendum. All projects are on track to be completed by the fall of 2004, said Tamara Gagne, director of finance for the airport. Other carriers serving Burlington include United Airlines, US Airways, American Airlines, and Northwest Airlines.
