Rating agency Standard & Poor's Corp. has raised to AA-minus from A-plus its rating on Kentwood, Michigan-based Public Schools' outstanding general obligation bonds due to the presence of a strong management team that has controlled costs while providing quality education, and continued growth of the district's tax base. The rating agency also said it assigned its AA minus rating to the district's 85.5 million dollars of general obligation unlimited-tax school building and site bonds, Series 2003.
