ABSTRACT
This article reports that municipal bond yields in the U.S. were quoted one or two basis points higher on May 30, 2003 amid sluggish trading activity. Treasury prices dropped when the Chicago Purchasing Managers' index rose to 52.2 in May 2003 from 47.6 in April 2003, but rebounded later in the session as other indicators suggested that the U.S. economy was still weak.
