N.Y. NAPM Index Slips in May

This article reports that despite the fourth consecutive decline in the New York City Business Conditions Index (BCI), local purchasing managers remain optimistic the city's economy will rebound before the year 2003 ends, according to the National Association of Purchasing Management-New York. The BCI slid to 229.6 in May 2003 from 234.5 in April 2003, hitting its lowest point since October 1999, when the BCI was 224.1.
