The article focuses on the history of higher education fees and tuition in Australia and on the impact that several political regimes in the country have had on higher education costs. In the article the author offers his opinions on the funding of higher education in Australia and on government policies pertaining to the funding and discusses the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation's views on the funding of higher education.
