LINDA KELSEY made the controversial decision to put her ageing parents into care (Mail). I care for my 98-year-old mother who, after a series of strokes, is bedridden, can't feed herself and suffers from vascular dementia, so has limited understanding and ability to communicate. An adjustable bed, hoist and pressure-relieving mattress has been lent to us by the NHS, and nurses and doctors visit if needed.
