DebtTraders, a firm specializing in global high yield securities has launched a private client group in July 2002 which offers qualified individual investors the ability to assume high-risk investments with the same level of access to the high yield market as large institutions. Its aim is to make the market accessible to more private investors who do not have very large amount of money to invest. The firm will also offer clients the ability to choose among individual bonds, whereas most individual investors, who by and large gain exposure to high yield through mutual funds, end up with securities selected by their portfolio manager.
