Reports that East Germany president Walter Ulbricht is seeking long-term credits from Bonn, West Germany. Information that for more than two months Ulbricht has been putting out feelers in order to find out whether he can expect economic aid from his arch-enemies, the West Germans; Refuge behind a mass of figures relating to interzonal trade between the two German states; View that Ulbricht wanted further credits totaling around 700 million marks, three-quarters of which would have been spent on West German.
