ABSTRACT
Presents information on several books. "Stay of Execution," by Stewart Alsop, presents the account of Brian Piccolo's death; "Ending," by Hilma Wolitzer, in which a young wife narrates the life and death, from cancer, of her young husband; "Death, Be Not Proud," by John Gunther, is still likely to be read avidly by many persons whose longevity somehow takes on greater value when they read of the waste, by death, of so much young promise.
