ABSTRACT
The article reports on a homelessness count which will take place in the seven largest cities in Alberta in October 2014. Topics discussed include the efforts of the organization 7 Cities on Housing and Homelessness and the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness to develop an approach to homeless counts, comments from Louise Gallagher, communications manager of the Calgary Homeless Foundation on the importance of the point-of-time count, and standardized questionnaire and methodology used.
