ABSTRACT
Whether they are customizing new sales efforts for co-branding, developing turnkey programs or indulging in evergreen promotions, cable networks are paying more attention to what operators and interconnects want to include in those offerings. Operator feedback has suggested that promotions related to retail point of sale work best. Affiliates can use promotions in three different ways, as a consumer initiative with a foreign trip as the grand prize, as a motivational program for sales staffers and as a client-incentive initiative.
