ABSTRACT
This article presents information about developments in investment banking related to the Industrial sector of the U.S. as of May 12, 2003. United Technologies' Pratt & Whitney Canada lost a 2.8 billion dollar contract to supply jet engines to Airbus Military, which is leading a project to build the A400M transporter and had been pressured by European governments to choose a European contractor to preserve jobs. The winner was EuroProp International, a consortium of the four lending European engine companies, including France's Snecma, Great Britain's Rolls-Royce, Germany's MTU and Spain's ITP.Wind noise and fuel consumption were the two top complaints among owners of Hummers and other hybrids.
