Chicago, Illinois-based Banc One Capital Markets Inc. dismissed four veteran Columbus, Ohio-based public finance bankers over alleged violations of company policies on e-mail content. The top-ranking banker, whose resignation was sought for failing to properly manage members of his staff, was James Wilhelm 3d, a managing director who served as head of the Columbus office and was co-head of the public education, higher education, and cultural institutions group. The departures leave just a shell of a public finance office in Columbus-based Bank One Capital Markets Inc.'s headquarters prior to its 1998 merger with First Chicago Capital Markets Inc.
