ABSTRACT
A Harley-Davison Archive image of a kidney belt strapped around the midsection of two riders is presented. The author talks about his reintroduction to kidney belts during the AMC motorcycle meet in the1970s, while offering information on its functions to motorcycle riders in that period. He also talks about the evolution of kidney belts, also known as riding belts, which originated in 1927, its different types, and as pieces of art. A brief instruction on making kidney belts is also provided.
