Reports that direct-mail marketing company, ADVO and the nation's seventh-largest company, MediaNews Group have joined to produce direct-mail campaigns and promotional inserts in newspapers throughout Southern California. Plan of Media News Group's Los Angeles Newspaper Group in merging its advertising inserts with ADVO's midweek direct-mail offerings; Creation of a single-shared advertising package branded ADVO Shopwise.
