Inter-process communication is significant to software developing nowadays. However, inter-process communication mechanisms existing can not perform well with communication between applications become more and more frequent. Through analysis and study of existing inter-process communication mechanisms, this paper proposes an improved inter-process communication method. It adopts a method with two-level shared memory and integrated with other technologies such as multi- thread to improve efficiency of communication. The experimental result shows that this method achieves better effects than traditional mechanisms in function and performance, and it can basically meet the demand of inter-process communication in current applications.
