ABSTRACT
EATING fruit may lower the risk of stomach cancer. A study that followed 2.4 million people for an average of ten years found those who ate the most fruit had a 10 per cent lower risk of the disease. For every 100g of fruit eaten a day the risk fell by 5 per cent, say researchers from Fudan University, Shanghai. It's not clear why, but other research found that citrus fruit may reduce risk of stomach cancer.
