Kent, England Police has completed the first round of SAP training for its 6,000 staff. The internal training project was timed to coincide with the introduction of SAP into the force, and used a mix of instructor-led tuition and printed manuals to familiarise staff with the introduced system. &ldquo.Stage one of the tuition covered payroll, finance, purchasing and the HR side of the system, as well as the employee self-service aspects, ” says John Mills, training co-ordinator at Kent Police. Mills adds that the main challenge of the project was delivering the training in the ten weeks available between the system being set up and coming into use.
