ABSTRACT
Virgin Mobile is to offer 1,400 of its call-centre staff access to on-site European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) training later in 2003 as part of a move to &ldquo.broaden employee skills &rdquo. In preparation for the project, Virgin Mobile gained ECDL Accredited Test Centre status from the British Computer Society, and is poised to launch a trial run of the scheme, with help from Pearson Training, involving 50 staff. The start date for the pilot had not been finalised when IT Training went to press, but is expected imminently.
