Chicago-based Banc One Capital Markets Inc. has elevated investment banker Timothy Wons to the level of managing director and head of its small but profitable health care group. Wons, who worked alongside the more senior banker, McGough, building the health care group into a more profitable piece of Banc One's public finance business, was Saffold's first choice to manage the group. ldquo;I' m very excited about the opportunity to lead the health care effort going forward, Wons said. Wons, formerly a director, joined Banc One's health care group in about 1998 after leaving the company Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman, where he was a bond attorney.
