ABSTRACT
The article discusses the study "Health and Retirement: Planning for the Great Unknown," by finance management company Merrill Lynch as of September 12, 2014 which reveals that for majority of retirees health is the most important factor of a happy retirement. The study explores three forces that redefine retirement planning including empowered health care consumers, rise in chronic diseases, and cost of longevity. The study also explores impact of health care cost on retirees' quality of life.
