ABSTRACT
Banc One Capital Markets Inc. had loss of three investment bankers Brian McGough, the head of its profitable health care group, Los Angeles-based banker Greg Dawley, and Columbus, Ohio-based Boyd Crall, who specialized in industrial revenue bonds. Dawley confirmed he is headed to Merrill Lynch & Co. Sources said McGough has not yet formally accepted a position, though he has received several offers. The losses come as Gene Saffold, head of Banc One's public finance division, is about to complete his one-year in the job he left Citigroup Global Markets Inc. to take. Saffold conceded that the departures represent setbacks in his efforts to rebuild a public finance group.
